Energy-efficient QuatroScale™ zQSFP+™ AOCs push signals up to 4km for longer transmission distances required in large data centers
Due to the advent of the cloud, big data, and everything-on-demand media, data centers are getting significantly larger and more interconnected.Engineers are challenged to find technology to transmit such large quantites of data over long distances at a cost competitive price.Molex QuatroScale zQSFP+ AOC’s, also referenced in the industry as QSFP28, fill this technology gap and will transmit up to 4km for roughly the same price and power as competitive VCSEL-based AOCs that will likely transmit transmit across distances below 100m.
